The Invisalign Treatment Process
Initial fitting
After you’ve committed to your Invisalign treatment, you’ll come to our office for a 3D scan of your mouth. Dr. Uddin will send this scan to Invisalign, and then work with the Invisalign team to develop your treatment plan and build your first few sets of aligners.
Picking up your aligners
Once your first several sets of aligners arrive at Florham Park Smile Lounge, you’ll come back to pick them up and get instructions on wearing them from Dr. Uddin. You’ll usually wear each set for two weeks at a time, and you should wear them for 20-22 hours a day.
Checkups and continued treatment
Every six weeks or so, you’ll come back to our office. Dr. Uddin will check your progress, then give you a few more sets of aligners, along with instructions on how to wear them. This will continue until your treatment is over, which usually takes about 12 months.
